were you able to do the cleans with your elbows pointed forwards?

Not so my forearms were horizontal, but it was better than last week. My wrist still feels stiff, so my right one can't bend back enough to get my elbows up high enough.

till it can i think it's best to cut out cleans, i read more into it on the weekend (between events hah) and it can literally cause permanent damage to have your wrists take the weight. So it may suck but till the stiffness goes away and you can catch the bar with your elbows pointed right at you, no more cleans.

Thanks for the advice - that sounds like a good idea. Although there hasn't been a tremendous amount of pain (more like discomfort, nothing more) I haven't really been taking it easy on my wrist, which probably wasn't a good idea. When I do anything where my wrist locks out - e.g. bench presses - I don't feel anything at all. Likewise, pull-ups, dips, etc. Even push-ups and burpees, where my wrist bends, haven't been a problem. I think it's the sudden bending with heavy weight that I need to avoid for a while.

I was out most of the weekend, so I didn't see too much of the games :-(

I saw the women's shuttle sprint/rope climb/sled push heat with Annie and Julie. Holy hit, Heather Gillespie has some serious back muscles! I want definition like that!

Well one of the things I heard is it can start with a general tendonitis or stiffness and general ache in the wrist from all the impact, it wouldn't be something sudden but build up over time. If it doesn't bother you with bench or pushups so it should be okay for now, but let it heal up entirely.

Watching the games was fun, the girls events are always fun as they practically wear nothing haha.

Meh. Watching fit, half-naked bodies gets boring after a while.
